Cane re-signs with the Chiefs

The Chiefs have re‑signed impressive All Blacks flanker Sam Cane for the next two years in a boost ahead of the play‑offs.

The 23-year‑old has been one of the stand‑out players for the Chiefs this season and this was recognized when he won three trophies at the recent 2015 Chiefs Awards.

Cane, who has become a pivotal part of the Chiefs team, collected the Chiefs Player of the Year voted for by the fans, the Chiefs Player of the Year voted for by the coaches and the Players Player of the Year.

The Chiefs play the Highlanders at 7.35pm Saturday while the Stormers will host the Brumbies at 3.05am Sunday.
