The Fiji Sugar Cane Growers Association is happy with the Progress made at the Pacific Island Forum Leaders Meeting.
Association General Secretary, Bala Dass said they welcome the announcement made about elections held 2009.
Dass said if elections are held in 2009 and the country returns to democracy, it will lessen the burden on the farmers and then the European Union would release the $350 million dollar grant.
