Close to 200 farmers are expected to attend a sugar stakeholders meeting to be held in Nadi this morning to discuss the future of the industry.

All the landowners of Nadi have been invited to the meeting as ministry of sugar officials are also expected to attend.

Commissioner Western Joeli Cawaki and some farmers representatives have organised this meeting. It is believed government would like to hear from the farmers what difficulties they are facing in the industry.

The meeting is expected to be held at the Nadi Civic Center from 10am.
