Cane farmers around the country are getting ready for this year's cane crushing season which is expected to start next week.
Cane cutting for the Penang and Lautoka mill area is expected to begin this Tuesday.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer for the Fiji Sugar Corporation, Deo Sharan hopes that there will be minimal mill break downs this year, compared to previous years, as all the four sugar mills have been maintained well.
Crushing at the Penang and Lautoka Sugar mills begin this Tuesday. The Rarawai Mill will start on the 18th of June and the Labasa Mill on the 24th June.
