Cane farmers who have left Labasa should think twice before going back to sugar cane farming.
This call comes from the Fiji Cane Growers Association.
Association General Secretary Bala Dass said this idea will not work as many farmers have moved on with their lives and going back to Labasa for cane farming will be like starting from scratch.
He said promises as such were also made before.
