Police have arrested and charged a 49-year-old cane cutter of Nadi for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter a number of times over a two year period.
It is alleged the father first raped his daughter when she was 12-years-old and since then the man allegedly continued to rape her.
The matter was reported to police after the victim’s grandmother noticed a sudden change in the girl’s behaviour.
The girl relayed the information to her grandmother who then reported it to police.
The cane cutter will appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
