Cancer patients admitted in Colonial War Memorial Hospital can now raise their concern by using the new cancer toll free number star3001 (*3001) which was launched at the Hospital by Telecom Fiji Limited.
TFL's first offer of a toll free line was for AIDS to the Health Ministry with this line being the second.
According to the president of the Fiji Cancer Society, Madeline Curtis this is not the end of improving the standard of service provided by the society.
Currently they are looking after 85 patients, and she is pleading to the patients in the greater Suva area to utilise this service which is provided 24 hrs.
The society is looking into extending this service to the Lautoka Hospital next month.
