As the 2012 Coca Cola Games draws closer, people are now looking forward to the 100 metres event which will feature the Pacific's fastest man, Banuve Tabakaucoro running for Marist for the last time.
Tabakaucoro set the Senior Boys 100 metres and 200 metres records last year.
The question now being asked is whether he will break them again, and whether he can break the 100 metres national record.
Tabakaucoro had told Fijivillage after winning the Suve Zone 2 that he will aim to break the records again.
Current Suva Grammar coach and former sprinter, Jone Delai currently holds the national record for the 100 metres.
His time is 10.26 seconds which he ran in the US in 1997.
Tabakaucoro's fastest time is 10.43 seconds.
Delai said Tabakaucoro cannot beat his record.
Delai said that Tabakaucoro is a good athlete and it would be interesting to see what happens after the Coke Games.
Athletics Fiji President, Albert Miller said it would take a lot.
The current tracks will be used for the last time during the Coke Games as the National Stadium will close from Monday for major works to convert it into an international stadium.
