Can All Blacks retain number 1 spot?
Under the reign of coach Graham Henry, the All Blacks have an outstanding winning record of 85%, they have won five Tri Nations titles, three Grand Slams and a 3-0 sweep of the British and Irish Lions.
However rugby’s most prestigious crown has eluded them.
Henry is under no illusions about what victory against France tomorrow night would mean for his team and the New Zealand public.
And what will be Henry’s message to the All Blacks team tomorrow just before the match they have been waiting for years.
Meanwhile,All Blacks captain, Richie McCaw’s injured foot will be targeted by the French who have boldly claimed the All Blacks will be leaderless if the captain can be forced from the field.
The French have a history of foul play, including at Rugby World Cups.
In the 1999 Rugby World Cup final, Australian captain John Eales threatened to take his team off the field after allegations of eye gouging against France.
The week before they were accused of using underhanded spoiling tactics in their upset win over the All Blacks at Twickenham.
The All Blacks will play France tomorrow at 9pm in the RWC final and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti-FM with Malakai Veisamasama and Ilivasi Tabua.
Meanwhile, Australia have secured third place in the Rugby World Cup with a 21-18 win over Wales in the Bronze Final last night.
The win marks the Wallabies first on Eden Park since 1986 and ends their disappointing World Cup campaign on a high.
