The Pacific Trade campaigners are calling on the European Union to stop bullying developing countries to sign unfair trade agreements.

The European Unions market restrictions on kava products had a devastating effect on kava farmers and EU is now threatening more export losses if the Pacific doesn't sign a new Economic Partnership Agreement.

Pacific Network on Globlisation, a regional fair trade organisation coordinator, Roshni Sami said that EU is currently negotiating a trade deal.

She also added that EU is saying while they want the deal to be development friendly, the kava ban shows EU's failure to match the actions of what they are saying.
