The Fiji Police Transnational Crime Unit has arrested a 43yr-old Tourist from the Republic of Cameroon, for allegedly printing and circulating counterfeit US notes.

A team from the Transnational Crime Unit raided the suspect's room at a hotel in Suva last night and seized a number of notes and items.

He is currently in police custody and is being interrogated.

The tourist is believed to have arrived in Fiji late last month and is also alleged to be overstaying in Fiji.

The Police Transnational Crime Unit is expected to release more details later today.
