Most of the busy streets in the capital city now have cameras and the Fiji Police Force said placing cameras in Suva City is greatly assisting them in monitoring people.
Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said as we approach the festive season, the Police continue to keep a close watch on the would be offenders and suspicious characters.
He reminds people that they are being monitored.
Inspector Sokomuri said they are now monitoring students in uniform who are hanging around the city during school hours.
Sokomuri said the Police Force aims to reduce illegal activities with the resources they have been provided with, and requests the members of the public to assist them in fighting crime.
