The University of Cambridge in England has been named the number one university in the world in the 2010 QS World rankings, being the first non-US University ever to top the list.

The University was voted the best for research quality, as selected by more than 15,000 academics around the world.

Deven Sharma, the group contact person for the Oxbridge group in Fiji compromising of the alumni of Cambridge and Oxford University says they are proud to be part of the achievement.

Sharma who studied law at Cambridge University said it was a unique experience compared to modern day universities.
