The Cakaudrove chiefs will only decide whether they accept or reject the changes to the Great Council of Chiefs Regulation 2008 during the first day of their meeting at Somosomo on the May 14th.

Roko Tui Cakaudrove Waisale Wainiqolo said the decision will come from the 20 chiefs chaired by the Turaga Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

Wainiqolo said the Tui Cakau is expected to take up the position of chairman after former Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka's term expires this month.

Meanwhile, Wainiqolo said high on the agenda during the two day meeting is the road conditions, which were badly affected by Cyclone Gene.

The Roko Tui added that one of their targets is for the council to install water tanks especially in the villages of Tunuloa, part of Natewa and Wailevu as these people were mostly affected by typhoid.
