Cakaudrove Chief Will Not Attend Bose ni Turaga Meet
Tui Cakau's Spokesperson, Ratu Jekesoni Yavalanavanua confirms that neither Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu nor the 15 chiefs who qualify for the Bose ni Turaga will be present at the meeting.
Yavalanavanua said Cakaudrove maintains its stand that they do not support the illegal takeover and they are not happy after the GCC members were sacked by the Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama.
Similar sentiments were made by the Qaranivalu and Paramount Chief of Naitasiri, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata that he will not attend the Bose ni Turaga.
Meanwhile, the Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Temumu Kepa and the eight chiefs from the Vanua Rewa have not confirmed their attendance to the meeting.
Deputy Chairman of Rewa province, Pita Tagicakiverata said invitation letters were sent to them but there is still no confirmation.
