His rise in the IRB Sevens Series was way back in 2003 and since then, Setefano Cakau has never disappointed local rugby fans with sheer speed and strong defense.
Cakau was one of the team’s top performers last season with the ability to play in the backs or forwards.
Cakau said he is ready, if given another chance to lead Fiji this season.
The Digicel Fiji Sevens team is expected to be named later this week.
The first leg of the IRB Sevens Series will be held on the 13th and 14th of next month in Gold Coast.
Fiji is the defending champion.
