34-year-old Setefano Cakau is the oldest and fastest in the current Digicel Fiji’s 7s training squad.
The former national sevens skipper clocked the fastest time in the short sprints during a fitness test this morning.
Cakau who was playing rugby in Sri Lanka during the Gold Coast 7s is trying to reclaim his spot in the national team for the Dubai 7s.
Cakau said he is available for selection and he cannot wait to do what he does best.
Only 23 of the 34 training member squad were present in today’s fitness test.
The 14 member team for Dubai on the 30th next month is expected to be announced next week.
