Public health and clinical services will be used to improve the reproductive health services as a whole.
This is after Cabinet endorsed the re branding of Reproductive Health in Fiji on a submission by the Minister for Health, Dr Neil Sharma.
Ministry Spokesperson Iliesa Tora said strategies under the re branding of reproductive health care includes the promotion of reproductive health through school based programmes, provision of resource centres, Youth Friendly Services and training and up skilling nurses to deal with the different aspects of reproductive health care.
Tora said the re-branding is to tackle reproductive issues usually faced by youths.
The Ministry of Health is the main service provider for reproductive health care, and NGOs like Marie Stopes, Reproductive and Family Health Association of Fiji, and the Private health sector which includes general practitioners and private hospitals/clinic, also provide some degree of services
