Cabinet has today endorsed the Boxing Commission of Fiji.
The Amateur Boxing Association of Fiji will be tasked with the administration of amateur boxing in Fiji and likewise the participation of amateur boxers in the region and internationally.
Sports Minister, Commander Viliame Naupoto said the regulations specifically provide that amateur boxing in Fiji will be operated in accordance with the AIBA Articles and Rules.
He said this will ensure that amateur boxing standards in Fiji are at par with regional and international standards.
