Cabinet has today approved the provision of financial assistance amounting to $100,000 to the Fiji National Rugby League for the national Fiji Bati Team's preparations and participation in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup.
The 2008 Rugby League World Cup will be held in Australia from 25th October to 22nd November.
Cabinet based its decisions on a submission by the Interim Minister for Youth and Sports, Filipe Bole.
Bole said that through the years, the FNRL has invested alot in developing the skills of our unemployed youths and has opened up opportunities to gaining a secured future through their sporting talents.
