The post mortem of the 35 year old taxi driver, whose body was found on a bridge in Veisari, has revealed that he died of manual strangulation.
Divisional Crime Officer Southern Superintendent Tevita Lesu has confirmed that a team of 18 detectives are still working on the case to determine the cause of Murad Buksh's death.
SP Lesu has also confirmed that a piece of rope was also tied around the neck of Buksh when it was found hanging on the bridge.
His taxi was found abandoned in Ono Street, Samabula, with some of the items missing.
Police have called on the public with any information to come forward.
