Due to staff shortage, some nurses at the CWM Hospital and other Health Centres have to work overtime almost every day.
Fiji Nursing Association General Secretary, Kuini Lutua said about 100 nurses retired in April this year, who were not replaced and also some nurses migrated, which is putting stress on other nurses affecting service delivery.
Health Ministry, Spokesperson Iliesa Tora said its an internal matter which the ministry is trying to solve and its normal for any workplace. Tora adds this has to be done to ensure service continues.
