The Public Service Commission maintains that COLA will be scrapped this year and Performance Management System will be implemented.
Chairman, Rishi Ram said it’s a concern that some unions while meeting with PSC agreed with their concept are now saying otherwise in their public statements.
The General Secretary of Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions has hit out at the Chairman of the Public Service Commission for saying that some unions while meeting with PSC agreed that Performance Management System be implemented and COLA be scrapped.
Attar Singh said Unions have not agreed to anything as yet.
Many unions including, Fiji Public Service Association, Fiji Islands Council of Trade Union, Public Employees Union and Fijian Teachers Association are against the idea of scrapping COLA and implementing PMS.
