The President of the Fiji Employers Federation (FEF) Ken Roberts, while addressing the Prime Minister’s Mini Economic Summit at the TradeWinds yesterday, said the Cost Of Living Adjustment (COLA) is a waste of time and it does not help in the growth of our economy.
Roberts said a major factor in achieving productivity is the legislation which government gives, which will be instrumental in either assisting or not assisting the private sector to help grow the economy.
Roberts added that one of the counterproductive legislations which employers have to face is that of COLA.
Roberts said these issues must be addressed if the private sector is to assist in the growth of the economy.
