The Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group meets in London tomorrow to review the developments in Fiji based on the report of the Ministerial Contact Group which visited Fiji in November last year.

CMAG is expected to decide at the meeting what further actions could be taken against the interim government to try and persuade Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama to adhere to his earlier promise and conduct elections this year.

CMAG is also expected to consider a report from the Joint United Nations and Commonwealth Technical Team, which was in the country last month, on the preparations to convene the proposed President’s Political Dialogue Forum and assist in restoring democracy in Fiji.
