A new chapter was unveiled yesterday for the Primary School Kaji Rugby in the country after CJ Patel announced it’s timely sponsorship boost of $120,000 for this year’s tournament.
The Kaji rugby which will start next week in Suva will be known as the Rewa Galaxy Kaji Rugby.
CJ Patel Director of Marketing Nathan Hilderbrand said this is the best way rugby can be developed in Fiji which is starting from grassroots level.
The sponsorship was also $40,000 more than the previous kaji rugby sponsorships.
Kaji Rugby Organising committee president Joji Seruratu said the money will be used to subsidise costs incurred by participating districts including accommodation and fares to and from the rugby field.
The competition will also feature two newcomers from Wainibuka and Gau.
360 schools from 21 districts in the country will be competing in this year Kaji Rugby which kicks off next Tuesday and ends on Friday the 22nd of this month.
