A team of CID officers are now trying to establish the cause of the death of a 24 year old garment worker of Labasa who passed away at the Labasa hospital yesterday.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that they are awaiting the post mortem report before questioning anyone in relation to the incident.
It is alleged that the deceased was drinking with his friends over the weekend when a chemical was mixed in his beer and he was forced to drink it. The matter was reported to police by a doctor. Police have not ruled out foul play.
