Director CID, Waisea Vakamocea, confirms that they are following some leads following the murder of a Tavua shopkeeper during a robbery on Friday afternoon.

Tavua Police confirm that they have received instructions from Headquarters to sign additional man power to track down those responsible with Officers from Ba and Rakiraki been brought in to assist in investigations.

The 66 year old shopkeeper was closing his business, when the suspects stormed into his shop, assaulted him with a heavy object before they tied him up and robbed three elderly women in the house.

The get away vehicle that was used was found abandoned in Yaladro, Ba and Police have confirmed that it was a stolen vehicle.
