Police have forwarded the statements of 5 senior members of SDL Party to the Director CID for assessment.
Crime Officer Raiwaqa Inspector Balwant Singh had confirmed the statements of ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, Ted Young, Mere Samisoni, Samisoni Tikoinasau and Senator Tupeni Baba's statements were handed to the Director CID SSP Tevita Lesu last night.
Inspector Singh said apart from the 5 complainants they will not be recording statements of any other member.
The 5 want interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama, members of interim government, military council and the NCBBF investigated for alleged treason.
