For the first time Communication Fiji Limited the parent company of Fijivillage, Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam's subsidiary company PNG FM Limited will partner with Damodar Brothers Fiji limited and PNG based City Pharmacy Limited to set up Papua New Guineas first cinema multiplex.
Managing Director William Parkinson said CFL has taken up a 33.3% stake in Paradise Cinemas Limited that will own and operate the Multiplex.
Parkinson said the three cinema complex will operate out of the recently opened vision City Mega mall which is the biggest shopping complex of its kind in the South Pacific.
He added that the word of the multiplex has spread and excitement is high in Port Moresby as well as for the company.
Parkinson said forecasting returns is difficult at this stage but early feasibility work is very positive and details on the investment will be provided closer to the opening.
Work has commenced and is expected to open mid this year.
