CFL marks Independence Day
This is Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Radio Sargam, Navtarang and Viti FM employees marked Fiji's 40th independence day celebrations this morning.
Company General Manager, Ian Jackson who was a primary school student when Fiji gained its Independence back in 1970, recalled how they were given a medal and a Fiji flag and were told to wave it when Price Charles passed by.
Jackson also urged parents to teach their children about national pride and the importance of Independence day.
And while the national Fiji day celebrations for the Central Division has been cancelled due to bad weather, the Capital is a sea of blue and white as people have come out in the Fiji colours to mark our 40 years of Independence.
