We will not be able to help everyone but we will try our best to get help out to those who are in great need.
Save the Children Fiji Chief Executive Chandra Shekhar said all their offices have been bombarded with requests, and the downside is that some of the requests are not genuine, which is only prolonging their relief work.
The flood affected children received a major boost this morning after Save the Children Fund received $140,000 from Communications Fiji Ltd, the parent company of fijivillage.com, to Get the Children Back to School.
Chief Executive Chandra Shekhar who received the cheque, said the donation will be added on to the amount they have at the moment which will see many school children assisted.
CFL Managing Director William Parkinson said listeners came out in numbers over the past week to ensure that the children severely affected by the floods go to school.
Meanwhile, Shekhar said at the moment they are liaising with school heads in affected areas as the new school term has started today and they are able to get a full assessment on the number of children who need help.
Shekhar had revealed that they had identified 483 students in the Central Division in the Rewa Delta and are yet to finalize the numbers in Ba, Lautoka, Nadi and the North.
