A major step in the development of Media in Fiji was taken today as a first ever state of the art radio studio was launched at the Fiji Institute of Technology today.

It was also a historic day for FIT as for the first time a Corporate sponsor stepped forward to provide full assistance.

Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of FM96, Fijivillage, Viti FM, Radio Sargam and Navtarang today officially handed over the state of the art broadcast studio to the FIT's Media and Journalism department at its Raiwai campus.

CFL Managing Director, William Parkinson while officially opening the studio this morning said the company invested more then $15,000 to build the CFL Studio and it will benefit the media industry as the students will use the state of the art facility.
