The parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Sargam, Navtarang and fijivillage.com Communications Fiji Limited (CFL) has recorded a 400 percent increase in its first 6 month profit for 2008 compared to last year.
The broadcasting company has recorded a consolidated group profit after tax of $238, 749 for the first 6 months this year compared to $48, 469 for the same period last year.
CFL's Managing Director William Parkinson said there are some key factors which has resulted in this huge success.
A very confident Parkinson said the CFL group is also aiming to crack the $1 million profit mark for the first time this year.
And in light of the strong first half performance, the CFL board has announced an interim dividend of 4 cents per share. Parkinson said this reflects the board's intention to steadily increase dividends and its hoped that this will increase to 8 cents for the year ended December 31st, 2008.
