The parent company of Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Sargam, Communications Fiji Limited, has today announced a final profit after tax of $440,806 for 2007 compared to $88,279 in 2006.

Company Chairman, Hari Punja said CFL has enjoyed a strong 2007 showing growth across all profit centers.

Punja added that previously CFL's result has been negatively impacted by losses from Unwired Fiji. He said this is a turning around now and losses have been reduced but following Auditors advice they are unable to take up the considerable tax credits due to the organization.

As promised last year the CFL Board has agreed to restore dividend levels to 6 cents per annum with a second interim dividend payment of 3 cents for the year.

Dividends will be distributed on April 17th.

Meanwhile, CFL's Papua New Guinea Subsidiary, PNG FM has also performed strongly but the result was impacted by a one off adjustment this year taken to settle disputed broadcast license fees.

Punja said exceptional growth is also expected from PNG FM in 2008.
