The Citizens Constitution Forum said the report on the Rehabilitation of the Sugar Industry is being manipulated again into a racial issue.
Chief Executive Officer, Rev Akuila Yabaki said the report is revealing the reality to the sugar industry on which 20,000 people in Fiji depend upon which is doomed to collapse unless large scale farming is introduced.
Rev Yabaki adds Fijians have been leaving the rural areas and settling more in urban centers. He said if the sugar towns in West and North collapses, indigenous Fijians will face an even bigger problem due to rural-urban migration.
