The Citizens Constitutional Forum is hoping that the positive outcomes of the People’s Charter will be accepted through political dialogue by those who did not support the NCBBF process.
Executive Director Reverend Akuila Yabaki said it's time now for political parties and different organizations who had openly opposed the People's Charter to put aside their differences and focus on the contents of the Charter.
Reverend Yabaki added that while the CCF was a member of the NCBBF, they had lobbied for changes to the Draft Charter, which were consistent with the Constitution, human rights and good governance.
He said the CCF reiterates it's position that any new legislation and changes to the Constitution should be approved by an elected or recalled Parliament.
