The interim government has called on the people not to rely too much on imported food items and has encouraged people to buy Fiji made products.
Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama said people are relying too much on imported food items and we need to move away from it.
According to Bainimarama, urgent steps need to be taken to decrease our import bill and more emphasis should be given on increasing our exports.
Commodore Bainimarama said people should spend more on Fiji made products so that we as a nation can move forward.
