People may have to cut back on their butter consumption as the price of locally produced Butter increases from tomorrow.
The price of 500 grams butter will increase from $3.46 to $3.55 cents, the 250 gram butter price increases from $1.79 to $1.84 while the price of the 125 grams or the quarter pound butter increases from 96 cents to 99 cents.
The Prices and Incomes Board said the higher costs are a result of the continued strengthening of the Australia and New Zealand currency against the Fiji dollar.
Consumers and traders are advised that prices will vary in other areas due to additional cartage and delivery charges.
