Bad news for consumers, you now have to dig deeper into your pockets as the price of locally produced "Rewa Butter" will increase due to significant increases in the landed cost of bulk butter, the major raw material for our local butter.
This is all due to global shortage and excessive demand.
The 500g packet local butter will now cost $4.59 from $3.32, an increase of $1.66, 250g packet will now cost $2.34 from $1.71, an increase of 63c and 125g packet will now cost $1.22 from 91c, an increase of 31c.
The Prices and Incomes Board said these prices will come into effect from today.
