A busy schedule looms ahead for Fiji soccer as preparations for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup, the Pacific Games, matches against the Wellington Phoenix and the OFC Champions League are taking place simultaneously.
The Vodafone Under 20 soccer team who will be playing in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup from 30th May to 20th June are in Malaysia playing build up matches.
The National Under 23 soccer team will go into camp next week to start preparations for the Pacific Games in July.
The side will play two warm matches against the Wellington Phoenix Academy side on the 26th and 30th of June in Fiji which will serve as a build up to the Pacific Games.
On the same dates, the Fiji soccer team will also take the field after a lapse of a few years against the Wellington Phoenix side which plays in the A-League competition.
The two matches will be played at the ANZ Stadium and Govind Park.
In addition to this, the Ba and Suva soccer teams will also intensify their preparations for the OFC Champions League which will be played in Fiji in April.
This is the best chance for a Fijian club to win the championship for the first time as the semi-finals and final will also be played in Fiji.
