The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption is now investigating some business people in the Northern Division for allegedly colluding with civil servants to defraud the government.

FICAC spokesperson, Loraini Seru has confirmed that their investigators will question a number of businesspeople in relation to the allegations after some documents were obtained from the government departments indicating the time and dates of the alleged offence.

She has indicated that they are now gathering sufficient evidence to charge the business people together with the civil servants implicated.

Some of the government departments that are being investigated in the Northern Division are the Public Works Department, Water Supply Department, Government Supplies and the Commissioner Northern's office.
