A 37 year old businessman charged with five counts of allegedly obtaining money by false pretense and obtaining credit pleaded not guilty to the charges in Lautoka Magistrates court today.
Dineshwar Rao a building contractor is alleged to have obtained close to 300,000 dollars from five people on false pretense.
The alleged incident happened between 2008 and last year.
Rao was released on bail on the sum of $25,000 with two sureties and a cash bail of $5000.
Rao has been ordered to report to Lautoka Police Station every Saturday and not to interfere with the witnesses.
The case has been adjourned to 28th July.
