Police and Customs officers are investigating a case where a Lautoka businessman allegedly tried to board a plane to Japan with over One Million Yen, or over $F14, 000 on Thursday.
According to Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri, the 54 year old was stopped by customs officers at the Nadi International Airport, and upon investigations, it was found that he had no declaration documents to allow him to travel with large sum of cash.
The businessman has been questioned and released.
