Police are looking for a businessman of Makoi for allegedly assaulting his wife and firing a shot in the air.
Assistant spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita has confirmed that the incident took place following a domestic dispute between the two.
It is alleged that the businessman punched and kicked his 43 year old wife and then fired a shot with his rifle, warning his family members not to interfere in their dispute.
The wife sustained serious injuries and was treated and sent home.
Police have also confiscated the rifle.
