A number of business outlets are under investigations for allegedly selling stolen items.
Director Operations SSP Waisea Tabakau said information received through intelligence and members of the public, it had been established that some business people are heavily involved in these illegal activity.
SSP Tabakau said information and names of shops and people also comes up when police make arrests and questions the robbers.
According to Tabakau this is one of the reasons as to why the crime rate especially robbery and break-ins are increasing day by day.
