Tevita said drivers of the two buses also received some injuries and were taken to hospital.

Police confirmed the Dee Cees bus was heading towards Suva when it collided with the City Line Transport Bus, travelling in the opposite direction and which had veered onto the Dee Cees bus lane.
One side of the Dee Cees bus was ripped away in the process.
It is believed the driver of the City Line Transport Bus was speeding which led to the accident.
