A 16 year old girl has been transferred to the Lautoka hospital and 7 other passengers have been treated and sent home after the bus they were travelling in veered off the road in Rakiraki yesterday.
Assistant Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the bus carrying 20 passengers was travelling from Rakiraki to Burelevu when it went off the road in Mataveikai village.
7 passengers were treated for injuries at the Rakiraki hospital while a 16 year old girl who sustained serious injuries was transferred to the Lautoka hospital from Rakiraki.
Police have questioned and released the 43 year old driver pending investigations.
