It has been confirmed that the bus that veered off the road and tumbled in Togomasi Nadi on Friday afternoon was due to a mechanical problem.
This has been confirmed by Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri who said investigation is still underway.
Three people including two school children aged 15 and 16 and a pregnant lady were admitted in the Nadi hospital after the bus veered off and tumbled in Togomasi.
Meanwhile, Land Transport Authority General Manager, Timoci Satakala said LTA will carry out its own investigation into the incident.
The bus driver has been questioned and released by police.
