The Fiji Bus Operators Association is calling on the Land Transport Authority to grant them a 20% increase in bus fare by using the Cost Index Module Formula.
An Executive Member of the Association, Rohit Latchan said the Formula has been worked out by two accounting firms representing LTA and the Association and handed to the LTA.
Meanwhile, LTA is expected to comment on the issue later today.
The Fiji Bus Operators Association officials are in a meeting to decide the Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry's call to continue with the 50 percent concession on bus fare for the senior citizens who have ID cards from the Land Transport Authority.
